Isn't there some other means to get things resolved aside from tickets

Question

I filed a ticket on failed delivery, the failed delivery was on the 8th. I filed the ticket on the 10th. So far LL have just given me no help and have now (since the 17th) stopped answering my comments / questions in the ticket. The item cost 2000L$ and that, to me, is not just some small amount. Since filing a ticket seems to do nothing, is there something or someone else at LL you can contact when the "hired help" doesn't seem to be able to help?

You could try the billing support team by contact via phone.

But it is indeed hard to judge since you have given little informaration about the process itself:

- Did the merchant recieve the transaction? - in that case you would have to contact him/her, point out that the transaction has been made, but the item wasn't deleivered due to technical issues and ask them to send it to you insides of SL.

- If the money just vanished from your account but was never transfered to the merchant, and the regular tickets have been of no big help, then i would try to contact the billing team (see link above).

No. If you are a Premium member, you can contact Live Chat.  Chances are very good, though, that they will tell you to submit a support ticket.  A week's wait on a support ticket is not unusual, however, so don't give up hope yet.  Last week's serious issue with Marketplace deliveries has certainly left them with a large backlog to clear.  They are dealing with many merchants who still have not made the transition from Magic Boxes to the Direct Delivery system and are facing an imminent deadline.
