for some reason, I am having a problem getting search to open

Hello,

I'm not sure what search you're talking about, there are several on the website and in the Second Life viewer.

In case you mean the in-world search, make sure you have all checkboxes checked under Me->Preferences->Setup->Web-> "Use built-in-browser" (enable that one, too)

 

If that doesn't help, please click at 'options->edit' at the top of this page, and explain what search you are talking about in detail please.
