Also shape and skins are 2 different things.

Let me take a try at answering your question;

a) When you buy a skin, many times it is "designed" to work with a Shape of a specific size and dimension. Therefore you need to visit the store you purchased the skin at and obtain the matching Shape as well.

You can try to make the shape yourself but there are 100's of options to think about.

 

b) and no, returning skin purchases is usually not an option. Almost all skin merchants offer Demo's of their products.
