I rezzed an object and it's missing.

Yes, I checked the ground and used camera controls and zooming it to try and find it. Yes, I checked my lost and found, inventory, and trash. I even played with some rendering, though I'm not sure which one to use.

Help?

Look in the edit contents of any prims that were under or immediately around where you rezzed it.  It sometimes happens that lost objects can be found there.

 

EDIT: I forgot to add that sometimes things end up at the <0,0,0> cordinate of a sim.  It is like the sim server doesn't know at to do with stuff and it  puts items there.  I have managed a lot of sims over my years in SL, and have found everything, including private part attachments and the kitchen sink piled up there! :smileyhappy:

I agree with Amethyst, it does sound likely that when you rezzed something it has somehow gone into the contents of another object.

I rezzed shoes and a notecard accidentally into a rug once, and every time I landed in my house, I got spammed by a script from the shoes!
