Jinairen Posted March 4, 2013 Share Posted March 4, 2013 Honestly, I have no idea if this is even the right place to put this, but nothing looked better.Somehow, a friend of mine has ended up stuck in some kind of bottle. From what I've been reading, it's apparently RLV related, but there was no prompt or anything. The common fix for these things seems to be disable rlv and log back in, but that did not work, nor did completely switching viewers to one without rlv support. Derendering didn't help either, no admins are on, and so far, no 'general' fix seems to be doing anything, so I'm wondering if the only way out is something specific to this. I'm happy to give additional information if it can help, but I have no idea what's useful or not to fixing this problem. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jinairen Posted March 4, 2013 Author Share Posted March 4, 2013 I thought the same thing, and even had the wishes planned out, but the cork is stuck. Maybe vigorous cleaning? Seriously though, he tried sitting and it went with him. I was checking the marketplace for it to see if I could find an answer on there...the closest thing I found was wine bottle trap, but that requires you to sit on it to trigger it. This was something that he was put in. Also, no, no hardcore relay, he only just got firestorm today, and hasn't gotten anything related to it yet. And the relogging without rlv didn't work. TristanMercer Posted March 4, 2013 Share Posted March 4, 2013 If this bottle is an RLV trap and your friend is RLV enabled...that is why they are stuck. Always use a relay when you have RLV active. This tkPBA hud is nice and you can set it so any traps will ask for permission(which you can deny) as it tries to grab you. 161488303349 Posted March 4, 2013 Share Posted March 4, 2013 ah! ok that sounds like a scripted follower/cager with your friends name on it. he cant escape that on the parcel itself until the bottle is removed by owner or parcel owner / parcel return can escape from them tempt it to follow your friend onto a no-script parcel close by. if can get it to follow them onto a no-script parcel then it will get stuck and cant move off. and your friend escape and defeat it + other way is to get it to follow you offworld like if next to a void sim. then avatar can move about one meter into the void. object will follow and then it goes offworld and return to owner Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, he tracked the owner through the properties, but they're not online...which is weird, since we've now heard that it should drez when the owner signs off. Also, he tracked the owner through the properties, but they're not online...which is weird, since we've now heard that it should drez when the owner signs off. ok sounds like a bug in the script if is not doing that and is scripted to derez when owner not present. can now only wait for owner to return. parcel object return to kick in. or do the void trick or no-script trick + one other way to escape if the bottle is physical can shoot it with another bigger physical object. like if is two sims together then friend stand on sim border. then you and anyone else can blast it with your guns. if blast if hard enough then the bottle will be forced onto next sim same your friend but oh! well (: then you friend can TP back and the bottle be stuck on the next sim this assume that the bottle scripted to stop at edge of sim if is not scripted to stop then it will follow him. when it do then have it follow to far side of next sim then TP back to original sim + edit one more for complete other escape is to have it follow onto auto-return parcel. like auto-return = 1 is good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
