Lisha,

We are SL Answers, a Resident to Resident service. No Lindens frequent here.

To answer your question, the answer is no. You will not be able to be given the last 10 IP addresses used to log into the hijacked account. If that were even possible it would require a Court Order issued in the State of California or a Federal Search Warrant to obtain that information from Linden Lab. In that case the information would be released only to a police or other official investigative agency.

The Linden Lab TOS covers this as well.

IP address information is protected by not only LL but also by ISP and other legal and licensing authorities in many countries, the FCC being the prevalent licensing body in the United States. Local states may also have more restrictive laws governing the release of such information as well.

Editted to add:

Oh by the way, Please remove the name from your post. We don;t want you getting in trouble for a TOS violation sweetie.

There's an easier way (and it happens to be entirely legal).  Have your friend take a look at everyone (or anyone) who your friend happened to give their password to.  Or maybe have your friend come up with a password that is not so easily guessed.

I sincerely doubt your friend's account was hacked (such a mis-used term these days).  Someone hacking an account requires some level of work.......more work than is typically profitable to someone who would go through the effort (not to mention the risk of going to jail).  Ameretto horses stolen?  Is that sometime someone would steal and risk some serious legal trouble?

Get real.
