Question

This happens to me every once in a while when I buy lots of things at a time. I have spent about 10,000L today lol and now I can't purchase anything I get an error that says I can't check out right now. I emptied my recieved items folder as I know this sometimes causes the issue. What else can I do? Do I need to just wait it out or something?

Thanks,

Aerianne

There is no limit on how much you can spend or how many items you can purchase, as far as I know, so long as you have the money. However, the marketplace often gets a bit confused, especially when the shopping cart is used. I would suggest waiting it out, or purchasing inworld. (I often use the shopping cart as a sort of bookmarks folder. I save a few things I want to buy, then look up the sellers or the brand names inworld and teleport, if there is an inworld store. Then I buy from the store inworld. That way the item doesn't get lost in transit!)

It's wise to avoid using the Marketplace shopping cart if you can.   Use the BUY NOW button to buy items individually instead.  The shopping card is notorious for getting confused when it has too many things to keep track of ( too many >= 2).  Also, don't buy Marketplace items unless you are in world to receive them, and NOT in Busy status.  Either of those conditions can result in items being mis-delivered.

To get a record of the individual items in your order, open Marketplace and click the My Marketplace menu at the top of the page. Select My Account >> Order History from the pulldown menu. If you do not receive items within about 24 hours, you should cut and paste the information about a missing item from that Order History and send it in a IM or notecard to the merchant, along with a polite message requesting redelivery. Most merchants are very kind and willing to redeliver. This happens all the time and they are aware of it. Do be patient, though. Not everyone logs in to SL every day or checks their e-mail. Merchants have real lives, just like you do. If you still haven't heard in another day or two, follow it up with a second polite note and finally, if you STILL haven't heard, file a support ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ , selecting Marketplace from the pulldown menu.
