What happens to my home if my premium membership lapses?

If it's a Linden Home, you lose your home.  If you own property on the mainland, you lose the property.  If you rent somewhere, or if you buy on a private sim, no problem at all.  In any case, all the stuff that you buy for the home is safe.  You just have to take it all back to your inventory and hold onto it until you can afford a home again.

FWIW, you do not need to be a Premium member to have a home.  I have been in SL for six years and have never been a Premium member, yet I have a lovely home on about a 1/2 sim parcel on a private sim.  I rent, but I have many non-Premium friends who have bought private sims over the years.
