Hi everyone,

I'd like to bring back to life an old avatar. Thing is I have forgotten the password and, when I tried to retrieve it, I get to a page that reads "Name three friends with the following last names", right... only I can't remember that sort of information. Is there a way to solve this issue?

That would be your security question. If you chose a poor security question or did not answer it truthfully, there's a problem - in order to recover the password for an old account, LL will generally ask you to answer your security question to get the account back. This is true over the phone, as well. That's why you should choose a security question wisely, and answer it truthfully and in a way that you can remember later.

If you don't remember the answer, you can still call LL, but be aware that they'll likely ask for some proof of identity. Since you can't remember the security question answer, they may ask you for some RL ID information to prove that account belongs to you.

Just an idea, are you using the same computer you were using back when you used to use your old account or still have access to it?

If so, and if you had chat logs saved, you could search them looking for your contacts info.

That question is even more rediculous if you get listed 3 friends with all "Resident" as last name!
