My sim does not show in search. Nor does my group or the changes to my profile. Any suggestions?

I have two homestead sims I have rented for a few months. They showed up in search un until I decided to change the names. Now it does not show up when I search for it yet others say they can see it. Also I created a new group. It does not show up. I changed my profile and name. It does not show up. I placed and paid for a classified. It does not show up. None of this shows up for me or my sim partner yet others using the same and other viewers claim they can see it. I've not made any changes to my viewer lately so what once showed up should still show shouldn't it?
Any help is greatly appreciated as it has me baffled.
