There's no way to identify an object by its key.  Each time you rez the same object it becomes a new, unique copy of the original, with its own key.  The name of the creator doesn't tell you much either, since it only tells you who created the original root prim of the object, not who may have modified it many times over since then.  If Eric Linden created a full perm object many years ago, anyone else could unlink its prims and build a new object with them.  Eric Linden would still show as the creator.

The only bit of information that might be useful is the current owner's name.  If you don't like the looks of the object, return it to the owner or delete it.  If it really is somehow in violation of the TOS, submit an Abuse Report.  Since you didn;t say why you think it may have been left by a griefer, that's as much advice as we can offer.
