You can restrict access to your parcels and estates based on whether users are over 18 years old and whether they have payment information on file with Linden Lab.

32px-KBcaution.png Important: If your land contains adult content, as defined by the Second Life Maturity Ratings, it is your responsibility to restrict access only to those who are at least 18 years old.

 Parcel management

To restrict parcel access:

  1. Choose World >  Place Profile > About Land.  Alternatively, right-click on the ground and choose About Land.
  2. In the ABOUT LAND window, click the ACCESS tab.
Make sure Allow Public Access is checked.
  3. To restrict access to those who are at least 18 years old, under Restrict Access to Residents verified by, check Are age 18 or older.
  4. To restrict access to those who have registered a payment method (such as a credit card or PayPal) with Linden Lab, under Restrict Access to Residents verified by, check Payment Information on File.

Caution!  While you can restrict access to your parcel and make it "Adults only", that does NOT give you permission to have Adult rated content or behavior there.  The land is still Moderate, and only Moderate behaviors as defined by Linden Lab are permitted there.

For example, you could not put an escort service or sex club on your restricted access parcel and then claim "oh, it's OK, we only allow adults in."
