what is liability fee?

I am wondering what a liability fee is, one of the groups i belong to charges a 4l liability fee.

Basically, it means that whatever fees the group has to pay for, most commonly Show in Search, the expense is divided among the members who have this option clicked in their roles. It also means that if the group were to sell any group owned land, all the members would get a share of that sale.
