You have a maximum count of 117 prims on a Linden Home parcel. If you have used 100 and try to rez, let's say a 35 prims object, you are not allowed to rez it. Linden houses are scarced for prims: you have to use low prim furniture and/or make a choice as to what you keep and what you take off.

ETA: if you haven't reached your prims limit, make sure you rez your objects at the center of the house, not close to the borders of your property, which could possibily prevent you from rezzing your stuff. Once your items are placed in your home, use the edit mode and the directional arrows to place them in the wanted position.

Valerie is correct - you may have EXACTLY 117 prims in your Linden home. (A prim is the basic building block of SL - almost everything is made of prims. (Well, there's mesh now, so there's a slight exception, but mesh items are still counted.) Most items are made of more than one prim. You can look for low-prim furniture designed for people with low prim limits, such as those with Linden homes.) You can also check how may prims you have rezzed by standing inside your home and clicking the top of your screen, where you see land details. As Valerie said,  you may only have 100 prims rezzed, which means you can rez more objects as long as their prim value is no more than 17.

Edited because the typo has been corrected. ;) I just hate those, don't you?

To add to the other great answers...

If you have set your land to allow anyone to rez objects there, or allowed object entry, it's possible that someone else's prims are taking up part of your prim allowance.  For example, someone might have flown their plane over your home and crashed there, leaving the plane floating high above your house, maybe even out of visual range.

Go to World/About Land, and look at the Objects tab.  Click the Refresh button at the top of the "object owners" window.  If you see prims owned by anyone but you, you can highlight them and Return them to their owner.
