If you forgot your email password, you may want to create a new email account, link it to your Second Life account (account > contact information) and ask your husband to send you a new partnership proposal.

Well, if you still know the email address, there should be somewhere that says "forgot password" and that, when clicked, allows you to reset your password - usually by sending a reminder to another email, or by answering some security questions you set up when you first got the email address. Then you can get into that account again. If for some reason you cannot get in, you can update your email address for SL and change it to your new one. It should let him send the request again, although I'm not completely sure.
