They already have a viewer that is for Windows 8.  It's the same viewer that is for Windows 7, Vista, and XP.

Hi, like Peggy said. The official viewer and most of the TPV´s working fine under Windows 8.

One i know of is Phoenix that has a few issues with Windows 8.

If you have any problems with SL and Win8, maybe tell us more about ?

There won´t be an App for Second Life soon, but who knows

Yes, like Peggy said, you can use Second Life with Windows 8, you just have to download the latest drivers for your graphics card from the graphics card manufacturer's website, not Microsoft.

I'm cruising along on Windows 8 Professional using the LL SecondLife viewer with no issues at all.

As all have said before and I repeat:

1) Make sure to manually run Windows Update over and over until no more Important & Recommended updates & patches are found

2) Install the latest driver for your PCs Graphics Card / Chip system.

You'll need to launch SL using the Desktop function/feature for best results.
