It's highly improbable that you will get to have a Linden in IM inworld, but you can always send them a personal message here. Not meaning you'll get an answer, though... (as you certainly already know, the real Lindens have the SL hand logo by their name).

Easy answer is you can't usually, unless they are online. But since you filed this question under the ABuse & Griefing forum then...

You can talk to any of the Lindens just like any resident, but they maybe won't reply. Charlotte mentions profiles in her post, its always a good idea to read profiles before bugging anyone, even if you think you've an important thing to say. And Lindens go afk too.
