why can't i deed an item (media switch)? Am officer of land i rezzed it in.

I bought a media switch to play cds from an inworld performer.  media switch was part of the purchae product.  Says i only need to rez it on group land and then deed it to the group.  Yes, wore my group tag.  That didn't work so had the land owner try it and it didn't work.  deed button is grayed out on both our edit windows of the media switch.  How to fix this???

You should have transfer permission for the switch, but it's possible that the merchant set Next Owner permissions wrong.  (It's not unheard of.  I have done it .... a few times. :smileyembarrassed:)  Anyway, if the switch is no-transfer, you can't deed it to the group.
