Duplicated folders

I have various duplicated folders in my inventory. For instance I have  5,797 trash folders in my trash can. My 'main' trash can doesn't allow the option 'empty trash'. I can't delete the 5,797 trash cans in there. I've seen a similar problem in Q & A's but the link doesn't work & the suggestion on how to delete them doesn't work.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled second life - same problem.

Any suggestions?

You have run into https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/CHOP-849? .  Contact Live Chat.  Explain the issue, refer to that JIRA report, and ask them to run the File Fixer tool on your inventory.
