My SL is always crashing. Especially if I try to IM someone. How can I solve this?

That message is coming from the crash logger.  It often means that one of your user settings files has been corrupted.  The simplest way to fix it is to delete them and force the viewer to download information from the servers and recreate them.. Try doing it in a two-step process.  If the first step works by itself, then you won't have to do the second step.

1. Clear your cache manually >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_cache_clear .  The most imprtant part of those instructions is patience: "While inventory repopulates, do not teleport anywhere, and do not attempt to access anything in your inventory."  

2. Clear your settings >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/clearing_settings .
