When will I be able to get SL on a tablet pc?

It's anyone's guess, but don't bet on it happening soon.  The trend is for SL viewers to demand more and more out of graphics cards. They are outpacing yesterday's laptops and desktops for some SL residents now. The GPUs in tablets are going to have to improve dramatically to offer even low-quality graphics with today's viewers.  Tablets just weren't designed for SL's sort of graphics environment.

You can do it today, with an Android tablet and the Lumiya viewer app.

However, there are many capabilities lacking (group management functions, building, etc, and the graphics are nowhere near as good as you are used to on your computer.

You should be able to do it with the new Microsoft Surface that runs the full version of Windows 8 but it won't look as good as even a middle of the road desktop.
