How to script a melee weapon?

OK, so I have a spear, but it came unscripted. I don't want to pay so much money just to get a script. Please, can somebody teach me how to script a melee weapon? Thanks in advance!

Its not that hard, all you really need is this reference:

Depending on what you really want to do, you may need to actual layout a set of requirements and a design. You will also need animations as well, etc etc. 

 

You could also just create a hud that triggers animations, the same way you AO does.

 

If your willing to pay RL development rates, i would be happy to get you started, but then you would be broke by the end of the week, so i suggest you take this as an opportunity to learn.

Thanks! Now what do I put in the weapon, and what do I say to activate and de-activate the spear? I currently have in it: LindenDamage,  MWS Config Anim Default, and MWS Master MainHand CCS/DCS 2.5.3

 

Anything else I need to put in?

I have absolutely no idea.  Weapons are not my thing.  You can probably figure that out by looking at the script, though.
