How do you handle people who abuse admin powers?

You go somewhere else.  The owner of a sim has unquestioned rights to ban anyone, for any reason at all --- or for no reason.  He doesn't have to offer an explanation.  He has the same rights that you do as a homeowner in SL.  You can tell anyone to leave your house.  Linden Lab will not get involved in a dispute between residents unless there is a TOS violation involved, and in this situation, there isn't.

You just move on. A sim owner has all the rights, including banning anyone for any readon or no reason at all. And LL will not interfere in this, sorry. Not the answer you expected probably, but just find another place.

If they are NOT the sim owner, but an admin for the roleplay, you could bring the matter up with the actual sim owner.  Otherwise, do as suggested: find another place to play.  There are lots of Gorean regions in SL.
