what program works with windows 8 ?

i have windows 8 and phonex and SL viewer wont work on my laptop

Windows 8 probably has nothing to do with your inability to use SL.  What definitely has a lot to do with your inability to use SL is your computer system/setup.  Launch your viewer (don't worry about logging in) and under the "Help" menu click on "About Second Life".  You'll see your basic computer specs listed.  Copy those specs and paste them back here. 

Don't start a new thread.  Use the "Options" and then "Edit" to add the specs and any other information you might want to tell us.  Without some specs it's going to be impossible for anyone to help you beyond some generic (and often incorrect) guesses.

The most common reason for SL not working with Windows 8 is that you need an updated graphics driver.
