why is profile picture changing dimensions when zoomed?

Hello,

I uploaded a 512x512 pic for my web profile avatar and when you click on zoom it resizes to something like 200x1000.  I looked around and this is true of every profile pic.  I know it's not my browser because I've heard others say the same thing...

Yup - The Zoom is totally screwed up on the web-based My Profile - Avatar Picture "Touch to Zoom" feature - Great! - Get out my JIRA notes to remember how to report it.

FYI - For darn complicated reasons the profile picture aspect ratio is suppose to be 4:3.

WHY would they have a different aspect ratio between the thumbnail and its expanded version???? The others are poor design, but those are Just Plain Idiocy.

QED - A committee whose members were all bouncing around on their own - I've worked on JAD Teams as a user subject advisor in RL and we would never allow data definitions like this ever...
