To save yourself the headache it's much easier to use AVSitter, that also works with poseballs. In 2 minutes flat of watching the video tutorial you will be able to position the avatars perfectly without the need for scripting knowledge.

You will still need to dump and copy/paste the dump into a notecard, but that's it. You move the positions by having a bar appear through your avatar and you move that bar (and your avi with it) like you would position a prim.
