Hi, I am trying to upload to SL a picture I took and editted. It looks fine as the original file on my hard drive, and yet when I upload to SL, it shows some graphics glitches that look like a lot of pixels got digitalized.

You can see the difference in these two screen captures:

(or just go to my flickr to see it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/roberteroicadupea/8099327537/in/photostream/lightbox/ )

And this is what I see when I upload to SL (after I resize down to make it fit the 2048 max resolution which is required):

What I have done to try to fix this already:

- I sent the upload to 2 friends: one saw the glitches and the other didn't ... does this mean it may be SL setting dependant?

- I uploaded in all 4 formats recognized by SL, jpg, bmp, tga and png, and all had the same problem.

- I resized the picture to be an equal width compared to height, because I thought maybe the problem was in how SL adjusted the resolution to fit its paramters, it being a rather long picture, but the same problem occured.

Anybody know what else I can try to fix this problem?

Might be viewer dependant, would be worth a go to post your client graphic settings and ask both your friends to do the same to see if there's any correlation with you and your friend seeing the glitch and the third friend not seeing it.

You can also send it to me in game and I'll have a look at it to see if I get the glitch or not and in what settings.

Other than that, I would have guessed it was a quality loss due to compression since the file size might be large and upon saving the compression lowers that file size at a quality loss, but you saying that your friend is seeing it perfectly makes that chance very low.
