Graphics BLINK BLINK BLINK on Windows 8

New ACPI 64x PC machine delivered with Win 8

Intel i5....onboard Intel HD graphics

I have already updated the graphics driver

I have tried SL, Firestorm, Dolphin, Singularity - some a bit better, some a bit worse, but ALL do it

 

Everything BUT SL works just fine.

Toolbars, chat window, build tools blink a LOT.....strange rainbow around toolbar buttons when clicked....strange rainbow in scrollbar

 

The world blinks, but only a little

 

 

HELPPPPPPP....before I have to drop-kick this machine out a WINDOW   [8]

Sounds like an intel graphics issue with sl since there is another in a different thread that also has intel graphics chipset that gets a similar issue.

I'd suggest to install a real graphics card in that computer, preferably a nVidia one

I suspect that the onboard Intel graphics is the problem.  Onboard Intel graphics is never very good for graphics intensive environments.  With better proper graphics card your experience will improve.  I would recommend NVidia.  For example I have a NVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 card and it gives very good performance in Second Life with any viewer.

Well its not just intel. My AMD RAEDON INTEGRATED GRAPHIC DOES THE SAME THING . i HAVE UPGRADED ALL MY DRIVERS AND EVERYTHING. iT ONLY DOES IT WITH SECOND LIFE NOTHING ELSE.

Same here... It blinks only with SL, nothing else.  I run a LOT of graphics software, but SL seems to be the only thing affected.
