How do I change the font on my avatars name?

I see on some avartars a different font .  Some have special designer fonts. Where can I get the same fonts from?

It's called Unicode - it's a series of special characters meant for languages that use different alphabets. You can call them up from within the Viewer. I'm not exactly sure. But I should warn you that there are a lot of people who DESPISE the practice of using fancy fonts to make your display name look exotic because it makes them very difficult to read. If you want to be approached with respect you might want to hold off.

To add to Theresa's very good note:  Many people have good reasons to "despise" those odd fonts.  The non-standard characters are not only hard for people to read, they are impossible for some scripted devices to read.  Many of the game boards and dance machines used in clubs, for example, cannot display non-standard characters that they read from your hover tag.  This frustrates DJ s and club owners when they are trying to award prizes or even identify club visitors.

You can actually get notecards with these special characters on them known as ASCII cards and you simply copy and paste them into your display name and save it. You can actually find these cards on the marketplace, but as others say be careful, as some letters may not display properly for others and if you update drivers and such, you make not be able to see special characters in gestures or in display names.
