Writing and posting IM's When Inworld...

Hi there, I would like to know how to post an IM in someone's mail box.  I am inworld and would appreciate some help.  There is no other avatar around and I am in their office. 

This probably seems like a daft question but I am new to using SL and I haven't communicated by mail before when inworld.

If you are in world, you can send anyone an IM.  The other person does not need to be in world at the same time.  Open the other person's Profile and click the IM button.   You can find a profile if the person is on your Friends list or if you use Search to find the person by name.  Read this >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Text-chat-and-instant-messages/ta-p/700155#Section_.2  for more detailed information.
