0 Rolig Loon
CTRL + Alt + Shift + 9 derenders all prims. If you've typed that, then no, you can't expect a prim to be visible. CTRL + Alt + F2 used to work for derendering selected prims, but I just tried it and it didn't work.
0 IiIa
some meshs are visible when we do CTRL + Alt + Shift + 9... so what is the difference from a basic prim?
0 Rolig Loon
Really? That's a surprise. I just tried that myself and all of my mesh objects derendered, as I expected them to. After all, prims are mesh objects too. There's really no difference.
0 Lindal Kidd
I don't know what the official shortcut is, but some viewers such as Firestorm have the ability to de-render selec ted objects and prims through the context menu (right click item, select Derender). 0 Rolig Loon
Fascinating. My mesh hair disappears right on cue. So, except as a curiosity, do you have a reason for wanting to know the answer? I'll admit, this is a lovely curiosity.
0 IiIa
i just want to build a place with visible prims in the corners (as repairs) if people use CTRL + Alt + Shift + 9 to move better.
0 Rolig Loon
Oh, I see. That never would have occurred to me. Interesting idea. I hope you find an explanation for the odd behavior of your mesh hair. And if it helps with your goal, so much the better. It's a real puzzle to me.
