how do i change my priofile picture

when i try to change my profile picture the only option it gives me is to "choose file"...???...I have snapshots in my inventory but i am not able to use them...???..thank you

The best way to change your profile photo is to save a photo to your hard drive/ computer and then upload it to your online profile at my.secondlife.com

Click Edit Profile > Profile Picture > Choose File > Upload

JPG, PNG or GIF. Maximum file size is 5Mb.

If you have a photo in your inventory you want to use, if you have full permissions to it, you can Save As to your computer and then convert it from a TGA to a JPG or PNG using a photo editing program.

It took me a bit of searching to find this post, but thank you! After giving me the option to select a file for upload, the window inside SL would go black while I was browsing my computer for a file. This answer worked for me as well (I had always used a different viewer to upload profile information before now)
