A grid-wide hunt can be posted as an event?

Question

AFAIK there is no problem. I have seen and participated in events (posted in the webiste) that BEGIN in a land owned by the host and AFTER go over many regions. Of course I'm not a Linden, just my opinion :)

Technically a grid wide hunt fullfills all points of an event:

- special group activity - Check

- led by a host  - Check, the hunt Creator is the host

- on land owned either by the host or by a group the host belongs to - Hunts always have a group attached to them for the hunters to ask for hints or to simply chat, all creators are in that group, so besides one of the hunt stops being owned by you, the host, the rest of the hunt stops belong to the hunt group that belongs to you, the host.

So you're good to go :D

Perhaps you should try a more conventional method of trying to get free advertising for your hunt.

A hunt is not an event - it's a marketing ploy which several merchants participate in for the sole purpose of driving traffic to their store.  It occurs over a period of weeks, not hours, or even days.  And it doesn't occur in one place.

If you get to post your grid-wide hunt as an event, then I get to post my store-wide sale as an event.
