Just saw this article about MS treatment in real life.

I wondered what some here thought of this, and perhaps if they wanted to share whether they have tried it.

I also wondered: What about the same activity in Second Life? Or other activities, even?

If you want to share - has anyone with MS found Second Life to be helpful to them, even in physical ways?

If you do not want to share, of course, that is fine.

Interesting article, I can believe it would benefit some people, they did an experimental thing here with old people in nursing homes, they started to bring a dog in once a week to meet the residents at several nursing homes and found within quite a short period of time, some residents who had previously been non responsive were patting, talking to and playing with the dogs.

As for second life, whilst i don't have MS I do have a physical problem and for me SL can be very benefical at times, just the interactivity and connection with people and aslo the ability to enjoy some things that i maybe am unable to do in real life is great but it also has its down side, i have found i have to pick and choose who i surround myself with, when surrounded by negative people it can definitely affect the way i feel in real life, maybe i should get a dog or a horse lol

Totally agree with this.

There seems to be a lot of negativity around internet forums, too. I believe it definitely helps build us up physically and in other ways to try to enrich our lives with positive things although I'm not one to say skim the surface of life or anything like that. I'm all into the Jungian shadow stuff.

Very interesting post. Thank you.

Thank you all for sharing your perspectives. I hope more will do the same.

I know it's been tried before but the story only appeared the day I began the topic, and seemed to imply it works much better potentially, or for some, than they had ever realized before.

It gave me some hope. I do not have MS but a dear friend does.
