About the jobs. Ask yourself ; why do you need a job in SL? Is it ONLY for money? If the answer is yes, think carefully about buying L$ and enjoy SL without a job... Most of the clubs won't hire under 30 days, if not 90 days. It's kind of something a lot of them do so you can get used to SL. For the other issues.. try and clear cache?

From the image you posted it looks like a mix of graphic card, memory + bandwidth issues.

SiS Mirage is an integrated graphics card, I don't know how much memory you have on your system but regardless, that usually doesn't deliver the smoothest gameplay.

Try and turn your Graphics under Preferences to the lowest settings possible and see if it improves at all.

Also, are you playing on wireless? If yes, try and switch to ethernet.

Good luck.

You have a lot to learn before you are any where near ready to have a job.You will also need to have a presentable avatar for the kind of job you seek.

To prepare, the first thing you need to do is learn enough to be pretty self sufficient on basic things.  Secondly while you do the first, fix up your avatar,  Obtain quality skin, hair, clothing, and an animation overrider.  While you don't need to spend money to do this, as there is a lot available for free, it will take some time to track down it down and a lot of freebies are out of date or just not good quality.  So you will have a limited selection.  You may want to consider buying L's to do this to save a lot of time and be able to have your avatar look like you want it to look. Next get out there and explore SL, meet people, find out about the various SL communities and cultures, learn about what behaviour is acceptable and not.

It is highly unlikely that you will be hired without at least 30 -90 days experience depending on the job and employer, as well as how fast you advance and learn how to live and deal with people in SL and even perhaps obtain some  basic SL skills.
