Have you checked to make sure that your computer meets the minimum/recommended system requirements?

Have you rebooted your router/modem?

When you download viewers, you should make sure that the cache files are kept in separate directories/folders.  For example, if you download/install the Firestorm viewer and then want to install it again, make sure that you do a fresh install.

The above instructions on doing a clean install are good for most viewers.

You did not indicate that you see a message when the viewer(s) crash.  Is there a message?
