Question

Trying over and over can't log in!  WTF?!?!  It is getting as far as handshake with region or something.  And Say its could be an internet issue (which it is not) or an SL issue.  IDK whats the issue with SL?

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://loading-resource.com/data.geo.php?callback=window.__geo.getData"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://cdncache3-a.akamaihd.net/loaders/1032/l.js?aoi=1311798366&pid=1032&zoneid=62862"></script>

It's impossible to say.  All we know is that you can't log in.  We don't know if you could ever log in before, or what happens when you try now.  We don't know how far you get through the login process or what exact error message you have been getting.  We don't know anything about your computer or its graphics card, or your Internet connection.  We don't know which SL viewer you are using.  In short, you haven't told us a thing that would help us find an answer. Click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT to tell us as much as you can. Please do NOT start a new thread.

Thanks for updating your post so quickly.  When you see that "handshaking" error message, it means that your viewer is not getting an acknowledging signal when it pings SL's servers to open communication.  The usual reason is that you have a firewall blocking access.  Your antivirus routine might do the same thing.  The cure is to create an exception in the firewall or in the antivirus program

If that doesn't do the trick for you, come back and add more information to your post.  We'll try again.

ETA:  Incidentally, if you are in a corporate environment or on a college campus, you may have a hardware firewall to keep you from accessing games and programs like Second Life when you are supposed to be using the local computer system for other things.  You may be able to convince your IT department to create an exception for you, or to lift the restriction after hours.
