Hi, So I've been on Secondlife for a while now.. But the only jobs I've came across is hosting, Dj and other things that you HAVE to have a time schedule for... I want a job that I don't need to be there at a certain time.. I know creating like jewerly and having my own shops wouldn't be that much of trouble. BUT! I tried doing PRIM HAIR... mine didn't work the way I was told... same with the prim skirt. Could I sell my shapes without my skin? I do not know how to make a skin... Skin templates are quiet confusing and complicated for me.

If the shape is good enough and efficient enough regarding Land Impact, then yes, but it is a ot harder to find a buyer.

Hi Cindy. If you are really keen on selling shapes, but not skins, you can always supply a styling card telling customers how to achieve the entire look.

I create and sell jewellery along with other accessories, and think that it's as much 'trouble' as you want it to be. This is entirely up to you.  It does take effort to make a profit in such a competitive area, but it's a great deal of fun, and creatively very fulfilling. The nice thing is that you can do what you wish on your own time schedule, and set your own goals and direction.

You might make more money being employed in SL on the short term, but in the longer term I think it might be better to invest in your own thing, if you have the creative drive. Neither is going to make you uber rich though. Just have fun

I'm using someone elses skin they've made. So maybe I should just stick to making my own shapes for myself until I figure out how to make skins similar as their but not 100% gaurteed the greatest.

Do you like to play games?  There are various places around SL where you can play games for free and win $L.  My casino has several games like that.  There are also places that offer a RAFFLE that will pay you $L just for entering.  I have a raffle like that at my place as well.   With a little searching you might find quite a bit out there that will make you $$ in no time and its all at your convenience.  No worries about being there unless you want to be.  :matte-motes-big-grin:

I'm also looking for hosts to do OPEN MIC/KARAOKE and you can do it whenever you want as well, but you'd have to commit to staying there for a couple hours once you start.   Let me know if you're interested.  Send me a notecard in game if so.
