Wanted: Clothes, AO, Shape, skins, everything!

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I've been searching the forums, the marketplace, hell even google had a try! But nothing. I need help. No matter what I do, what I buy or what I find, I feel like my avatar looks like a newbie.

So... where do I find quality skins AND shapes, that doesn't make my avatar look like someone with a monkeyface?

Where do I find feminine clothing, but still with an edge? I don't know how to explain it, other than... well, perhaps something like what Leonie Gerner wear! (https://www.google.dk/search?sugexp=chrome,mod%3D16&q=Leonie+Gerner&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=da&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=eGlYUKuFCsX4sgae8IDIBg&biw=1600&bih=837&sei=eWlYUJefMIXBswaO74GwDA

I hope someone understands my problem.. cause I'm not a newbie! And I'm tired of looking like one :-D

With no money, but a little time and effort everyone can look good in SL.
Various good SL skinmakers and designers have Lucky Letter Boards/Chairs, free group gifts (for some groups you will have to pay a fee, some are free to join) and/or Midnight Mania Boards with their products.

A good guideline to find the cheap/free stuff is using the website and group FabFree

http://fabfree.wordpress.com/

If continue seeing yourself with a monkeyface it might not be the skin or shape but the combination of both.
Always make sure you try on a skin demo before buying one and experiment with different shape/skin combo's. Not all skins look good on all shapes and vice versa.

Good luck turning your noob looking avi in a stunning one.

Hey, Sacha! C:

I agree, it can be daunting to just jump right into the fashion scene when you have little direction.

Checking the blogs is a great idea, and I tend to creep them far too much. xD

http://feeds.sl/style/

That is probably the best place to start. They have posts from many designers and bloggers and along the side are links to just about everywhere. Good luck!
