Why am I being charged $5 for a basic 512sqm plot of land when I'm a basic account?

I'm being charged $5 a month for a 512sqm mainland plot that I had as a premium member, but I down graded months ago and vacated the property and wasnt charged until this month. When I try to downgrade my property holdings to 0 in my account, that option isnt available. Why am I being charged for land I dont want or use and how can I stop this?

You probably Need to log in to the website and go to the land use fees section and tier down  On the bottom of the page is where you (adjust your tier).Set the amount to 0 if you no longer own land. That seems tro get misssed a lot..

Another thing to check is what Premium plan were you on? When you downgrade to Basic you actually stay as a Premium member until your billing date. So if you were on the quarterly plan, say, you may still be considered a Premium member. The easiest way to figure that out is if you're still getting the weekly stipend.

 

If you can't see any land holdings on the web site, I'd recommend going to World > My Land Holdings in your viewer menu. Your menu may be a little different, of course, depending on your viewer, but that should show you what you are paying for.
