Ginko Financial had built a reputation and trust over a three and half year period with it's customer base. They rewarded that trust by suddenly declaring insolvency in 2007 and disappeared overnight, taking with them 200 million L$ of residents money.

Anyone playing the long scam needs to gain their victims trust over a sustained period of time in order to accumulate the maximum amount of money possible before they pull the trigger.

I am not saying PODEX is a scam. I am saying that it's happened once on a large and it can happen again.

The difference here is, that the issuing institute is a brick&mortar bank, operating under polish and EU-banking regulations.
In other words: I trust them more than Paypal. Way more.

Plus, it's a prepaid card, if something goes wrong, the maximum damage is the amount loaded on the card.

And that's how I treat my SL-Account, I put only on it, what I just need, plus a small bit in reserve,
so if the account gets burgled, the damage is only a few Euros maximum and the inventory - which is mostly free stuff anyway.

i can happily say i have been using podex fo rme second life withdrawels for the last few weeks with no problem, money is sent to my bank within about 3 days, i recently paid for the podex visa card about a week ago and it has just arrived this morning, yet to use it though.
