I want to change my login name but keep everything else. Is this possible?

I want to change my login name to my display name, keeping 'resident' as my 2nd name.  This will eliminate a lot of confusion when I need to get added to a list, a group, or someone's security bot, as I've had a lot of trouble with the difference between my login name (which appears in chat windows) and my display name.

Obviously I don't wish to lose inventory, change accounts, etc.....just change my login.

Can't be done.  LL has no provision for changing your account username to something different.  Your only option is to create a new (alt) account.

Your login name is unique and is yours forever.  It can never be changed.  Sorry.

You will not be able to pass everything to an alt, but you can send all the transferable items.  The rest will have to remain with your main avatar: Warren.

There really shouldn't be any confusion, just remember that scripted objects don't care about your display name. To be honest display names mean jack, always give your login name when asked for your name. I personally keep display names turned off permanently so I never see anyone's.
