Just installed this, but have blank screen - half black and half grey? Please help

Hi I'm new to second life. I was really looking forward to playing, however when I downloaded it, I clicked on the second life viewer icon on my desktop, and all that comes up is a blank screen that is half black and half grey? please help!

In addition to updating your video drivers, if you are using a dual monitor setup, run the SL viewer only on your primary monitor.

When you ask a tech question include information about your computer and viewer. If the viewer will at least show the login screen, get the info from the viewer's Help-About... and paste that into your post with your question. To add your info to an existing question use OPTIONS->EDIT. It’s in the upper right of your post.

Check that your computer meets the System Requirements | Second Life.
