why can't i log in?

Second life will not let me log in...ikeep getting the error message "Login failed"

Try again now. Apparently there was a brief window where people couldn't log in right about the time you made your post, but people are logging in normally now.

You should always look at Second Life Grid Status Reports to see if a grid wide problem has come up. It can take a couple of hours for a problem to appear there. So, keep checking while you try to resolve the problem.

Other times a transient problem like todays is fixed before the notice hits the status page.
