Argus Collingwood
You used "harley" "davidson" in your keywords on an item I see. Did the removed items use the name Harley Davidson in the description too?
valerie Inshan
The message you received from LL says it all. Using Harley Davidson without permission is an infrigement to DMCA: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Intellectual_Property
Rival Destiny
Why are you complaining? You break the rules you suffer the consequences. I notice you STILL have other items on your MP that are DMCA'able - unless you contacted the movie makers of Kill Bill & got their permission, you are infringing on their rights. bruno Canadeo
I have not used the name "harley davidson" in description, product, title, image, etc! Tags are not public and not descriptive. The brand is "harley davidson". It is not harley. It is not Davidson

bruno Canadeo
yes but i use the word harley only in the meta tags for search.

It is not Davidson Your being disingenuous. Even though you separated these two words by commas, the intent is clear that you were putting them there so that your product would show up if people entered the brand name in search. That is a clear violation of the prohibition against using brand names as keywords, even if separated by commas, because the result is the same. It was a violation of the LL policies as well as the IP rights of Harley Davidson. Public or not, the policy is clear that you cannot use keywords in this way. This didn't happen coincidently, you purposely did it. You have no defense
Lasher Oh
Hi Bruno - using the name in meta keyword tags is also a no no. Many moons ago I made the mistake of using a personalities name in the keywords of a few outfits because they reflected that performers style. They were removed and I got the same note as you received. The problem with that sort of removal by the commerce team is that the items can't be simply ammended and relisted as they can when flagged. On this occasion it's quite simply one strike and your out! ^L^

To the OP - just comply with the rules in deed and in spirit and you wont have items removed, you are obviously talented, there really shouldnt be any need for you to be involved in this sort of noobie nonsense. Keyword spam removals are most irritating. The whole flagging system just sucks. You never get to know who accused you.. it just sucks for everyone. Rosemaery Lorefield
The email says that you are not allowed to use keywords that do not pertain to your item. Since your item is *not* a Harley Davidson, using those keywords is spam. Not judging, just sayin', that's what the email says.
Drake1 Nightfire
Well, you did prove your company policy to be true... " In SL the 99% of motorcyclists are law-abiding citizens. * We are the 1% * " You broke the rules and got smacked by LL. Nice use of the NoS image in your banner. You might want to remove that as well.
WADE1 Jya
I'm happy to see Lindens clamping down a bit on this kind of thing lately... if indeed that is happening. So it appears anyway. Cool :catvery-happy: I've always found sloppy treatment of IP & prevalent graymarket culture around SL to be quite repugnant.
