My Lost and Found folder is missing along with a lot of other items. it's been going on for 3 weeks.

Alot of my items is missing from my inventory INCLUDING THE LOST AND FOUND FOLDER... THAT IS COMPLETELY GONE. I cleared cache and all that stuff i read and told to do... nothing worked. It mainly all started when the maintenance was going on. They have been missing for about 2 almost 3 weeks, now what to do?

There are many reasons why items might appear to be lost from inventory.  See http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Lost_inventory for a full list and good suggestions about what to do about them.  In many cases, the best solution is here >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_cache_clear.  That process will rebuild the local cached copy of your inventory from the permanent file in SL's asset servers.

...and a brand new feature of the latest SL viewer release from LL - If you don't have anything that qualifies to be in the Lost & Found folder ~ or ~ you Empty it, it doesn't bother displaying it in the Inventory View anymore. Who Knew? I missed the memo about that upgrade!

Of course, this could also be a bug. I'm from the old school where it you change something that people see every day as they use any software, it might be nice to let them know that you are making it disappear if it's empty. Just sain'!

Welcome to Second Life Answers, LisaBoo.

If you're using the official Second Life Viewer, you'll find items that would normally have gone into your Lost and Found folder in the new Received Items folder that you should now see at the bottom of your inventory window.  If, though, you switch to Phoenix or one of the other third party viewers, you should still see a Lost and Found folder.

Linden Lab seem to be doing the equivalent with our inventories of what supermarkets do - now where've they put the bread aisle?!
