why doesnt peoples names show up on pheonix viewer ?

When I use regular viewer that sl came with , it doesnt work. so I used pheonix instead and im able to stay online . But for some reason , sometimes I cant see who is online on my friends list. Its just a blank column on who is online. Also, when I am walking about places, some peoples names show up but others just have "???" as their names.

 

Why is it doing this?

 

... also : I dont know how to find my landmarks on pheonix , can someone tell me where it is ?

For whatever reason your connection to SL is still too poor to cope with the amount of data SL sends.  Since changing to a wired connection hasn't fixed it please give us the ping and packet-loss figures from the statistics window in SL or from pingtest.net.
