You will have to sort it out with whoever sold you the thing. LL won't do anything in disputes between residents.

You won't get it back. Take it as a lesson you learned: Never pay people this way and never before you got the the thing you are buying. Don't trust strangers.

In the future, buy the actual thing you're buying instead of giving someone L$s and trusting them to do the right thing. If they won't set the item for sale, walk away.

Yikes!  This is a very common and low level scam.  You walk into a store.  Someone tells you they are a "sales rep" and offers you a "special price" on something if you pay them directly, instead of buying from the vendor plaque.  You pay them, and off they go, with your money.  No, you can't get it back.  LL's view is, you paid them willingly, so it's your fault for being gullible.

Abuse report the offender, and report them to the store owner too.  That will most likely get them banned from the store.
