marketplace listings not moving

i've had an issue on marketplace since friday.

i have added new items and they have sold but they are still remaining on the last page of my store E.G they are not moving up the rankings when they are sold.

I know each of the items has sold at least 5 times but they remain ranked BELOW items that have never sold and never had views.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yes, something seems to be "stuck" again with regard to relevancy. No matter what I sell since the end of last week, my store relevancy sorting has not changed - normally it reflects most recently sold in the past 24-48 hours.

Search results used to be updated every morning at about 1AM SL time, but right now it seems to be sporadically random. Perhaps every two or three days (on a good week).  Relevance search seems to be weighting more by price now too. (Even more than it used to be), but that doesnt seem to be the problem youre having right now with it.

Can you elaborate on this, Spica? The weighting on price, I mean? Pretty please?

search indexing has been borked for a while. I have committed allocated items to test for unique keywords none of them show up unless they also have the same keyword included in the  features section. It's asumed that there is a daily index run but If it is it misses a beat whenever it comes around to my part of the database.

Just like the rest of  the marketplace - it looks good on the surface but when you look under the bonnet .........

its the same way with buying as well. i have got 4 new items and got emails confs saying they are moving yet nothing appears in the inven. its like i didnt buy anything at all. maybe it takes a full business day now before the exchange is made?? maybe they are reviewing that an item works that way it is sold to now? or was really sold for the price it was marketed?? i got 4 new items from differant areas of the market from differant sellers, so its a marketplace problem and not the venders would be my guess...................... good luck

I don't know how it works really. Its like products being sold for under 10 lindens are dropping down on the relevance search list more and more and things over 1000 lindens or so are getting some sort of boost toward the top. At a time when peeps are growing ever more worried about purchasing things on the Marketplace. I would have expected it to be the other way around where the very expensive stuff drops and the cheap stuff climbs to some degree because of the ever increasing reliability deterioration situation on the MP. As if someone wants to fight the long time price deflationary trend with even greater vigor by promoting high priced stuff in this way. Just a theory. ;-)

Hrm. It sounds to me like not only are they trying to fix the relevancy issues, but they may also be playing with the formulas. That might end up being a good thing in the end. Time will tell.

Well I dont mind the demo's being put in their own area to get them out of the way of the freebies when I do a search by price which I often do. Maybe there should be a seperate search for just demo items. ;-)

That's actually a great idea. With mesh, especially, there seems to be a lot more demos in the listings lately than ever before.
