I have been purshing demo skins

So i am new on Secondlife and I want to try on some skins. When i purchase the deoms  all I get is a box, picture or shopping bag. How do i PUT ON the demo skin? I also have the same problem with demo hair.

You must go to a sandbox and rez the item.

'Search for a snadbox using search.  TP to sandbox.

Drag the object (skin) from your inventory to a spot on the ground (close to your feet so you don't lose sight of it)

Click on the box and select 'open'

Click on open to inventory. (the objects (skin) will begin to come into your inventory.)

When all objects are in your inventory, click on the object on the ground and select delete.

Open you inventory and select (double click) the item to wear. 

You will see your new skin appear.

Your purchases are in the box or picture. You need to rez the box on the ground and open it and then take the contents into your inventory. 

Once the contents of the box are in your inventory, you can choose wear or add.

Why am I the only one that ever recommends just wearing the box if you can't rez it right where you are?

Once it's rezzed, by being worn, you can right-click, open it, copy to inventory and detach again. No need for a sandbox.
